Most people will take a bus going from Kathmandu to Pokhara and change in Dumre. In 1987 a road was build from here to Besisahar, which shortens the Trek for about 3 days. Since 2000 there also direct buses from Kathmandu to Besisahar and the road has now a hard cover.
