Nepal, trekking around Annapurna, Jomsom trek, Ghasa, Dana and Tatopani
The lower part of the Kali Gandaki valley is warm and green.
GHASA

My friend and Porterguide Bachan Rai standing near a poinsettia bush
In Nepal poinsettias can grow up to 6 m high
Their Nepali name is Lalu pati
Dana was for many years the administration an custom place, the resulting wealth can be seen at the richly carved windows
TATOPANI
Tatopani means “hot water” and the hot spring of Tatopani is terrific. Near the river edge there is a small hot spring where water with 60 °C is pouring out a small tube.
Fortunately there is also an other tube with cold water coming to the pool.

Tatopani-Hot Pool
Tatopani a wonderful place for delightful food
About 9 walking hours from Tatopani is Beni, where the buses start to Pokhara. as they need another 5 hours to reach it, it does not makes sense to go from Tatopani to
Beni in one day. You better stay in on of the little lodges in the villages before and go to Beni in the morning. So you avoid al the noise and bus horning at 5 o clock am.
